ISO 9001:2000 is an international standard that gives requirements for an organization's Quality Management System (QMS). It is part of a family of standards published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) often referred to collectively as the "ISO 9000 series". For this reason, suppliers often refer to being "ISO 9000 certified", or having an "ISO 9000-compliant QMS". This normally means they are claiming to have a QMS meeting the requirements of ISO 9001:2000, the only standard in the ISO 9000 family that can be used for the purpose of conformity assessment. It is important to understand however, that ISO is the body that develops and publishes the standard - ISO does not certify organizations.
The objective of ISO 9001:2000 is to provide a set of requirements that, if effectively implemented, will provide customers with confidence that suppliers can consistently provide quality goods and services.

IPC ¨C Association Connecting Electronics Industries is the global trade association for the printed board and electronics assembly industries. Accredited by the American National Standards Institute, IPC publishes and maintains 150 active standards for every aspect of the process ¡ª from design and data transfer to board acceptability to soldering and assembly acceptability.
IPC-6012B specification covers qualification and performance of rigid printed boards, including single-sided, double-sided, with or without plated-through holes, multilayer with or without blind/buried vias and metal core boards. Addresses final finish and surface plating coating requirements, conductors, holes/vias, frequency of acceptance testing and quality conformance as well as electrical, mechanical and environmental requirements. Amendment 1 to Revision B incorporates new requirements for reduction of surface wrap copper plating and final finish requirements for electroless nickel/immersion gold (ENIG) and immersion silver platings. For use with IPC-6011.
